Thank you for your interest!

We’re so glad you’re here for this year’s Basket Buddies Program.

Hello! and here's what you need to know about the Program

The Sydney Basket Brigade's Basket Buddies program offers our donors the opportunity to create and donate a whole basket to feed a family, a single person or homeless person in need.

It’s super easy to support someone in our community this coming festive season with much needed sustenance and love.  While you might never get to meet the recipient of your basket know that all the baskets are received with gratitude.

** IMPORTANT NOTE TO CHARITY ORGANISATIONS:
Please do not use this form to receive baskets for your clients. We will be in touch. Thank you **

To become a Basket Buddy follow these super easy steps:

Step 1.  Decide what types of baskets and how many you would like to commit to creating and providing
Step 2.  Select the basket type and quantity
Step 3.  Complete the rest of the form below with your details – so we can send you the list and updates between now and drop off week.
Step 4.  Get your shopping list and purchase your items weekly, or you can do it in one hit at anytime prior to drop off.
* Make sure the items you choose do not require refrigeration
* Make sure the expiry or best before date is not prior to Feb 2023
Step 5.  Deliver you baskets to us on your preferred delivery day.

We did it last year and with your help, we can do it once again this year!
For 2022 our basket goals are:

  • 200 Family Baskets
  • 200 Singles Baskets
  • 200 Homeless Bags

Choosing your baskets

There are 3 separate basket types to pledge as a Basket Buddy:
  • FAMILY BASKET: Choose a medium - large sized box, one that you can carry when it's full, and fill with staples, some Christmas treats and a gift intended for a family of 4. The approximate cost for this basket is $70, based on buying non branded items or items on sale
  • SINGLE BASKET: Consists of 1  box of goodies and Christmas treats and a gift for a single person living at home
  • HOMELESS BAG: Fill a Bunnings, Woolies or Coles bag with food items that can be resealed, that can be reconstituted with hot water and do not require refrigeration. This list of staples also includes some Christmas goodies and a gift for our friends on the street..
Price range varies depending on what brands you purchase. If you shop for specials, then the cost would be much less per basket.

Food requiring refrigeration and items that have a best before or expiry date prior to Feb 2023, will be removed.

As each basket is specifically allocated to a nominated family or recipient you must register and purchase a "ticket" for your pledge so that we can ensure each wonderful basket is received..
