Brisbane Basket Brigade Donation Station and/or Wrapping Materials Programs 2021

Brisbane Basket Brigade Donation Station and/or Wrapping Materials Programs 2021

“It’s not how much we give, but how much love we put into giving.” Mother Teresa

Since 1995, throughout the Christmas season, the Basket Brigade of the Magic Moments Foundation have worked with grassroot charities throughout Brisbane to anonymously deliver food, toys, gits, festive cheer and hope to those who need it most!  The Brisbane Basket Brigade is part of a not-for-profit national charity run entirely by volunteers through the Magic Moments Foundation of Australia.

The concept of Basket Brigades exist all around the world however each brigade is run independently of the other.   We are a non-religious, non-political organisation, bringing together like-minded people who make a difference to others’ lives.

We are proud to say that in Brisbane we support over 70 local grassroot charities who nominate our recipients and that all donations, gifts and funds raised by the Brisbane Basket Brigade are returned back to our very own local Brisbane community.

The Brisbane Basket Brigade is all about giving back at Christmas.  It’s about volunteers helping those who have fallen on hard times or those who might need to be reminded that someone cares.  It’s about making sure that Christmas is full of love and the spirit of giving for everyone.

Our Committee of volunteers deliberately seek out recipients, via our grassroot charities, who might otherwise fall through the cracks and not seek help – children, women, families, the elderly, the hungry, refugees and the homeless.

We have many different ways that you can support BBB as a corporate or group supporter.  Whether you’re a small office of just a couple of people,  a group of kind, passionate individuals, a community group wanting to run your own Christmas gifting program or a large company/retail chain/gym/factory that wants to collaborate with your clients and customers , we have a program that is sure to fit.  Be sure to check out our comprehensive Brisbane Basket Brigade Ultimate Guide  on how you can get involved.

This event is for our Corporates and/or groups wanting to sign up specifically for our Donation Station Program and/or our Wrapping Materials Programs.

Donation Station Program

Our Donation Station Program involves corporates and/or groups collecting small festive items that we can add to our food baskets such as puddings, candy canes, shortbread biscuits, Christmas snacks, tinsel, Christmas tableware and decorations.

You can find all the details and FAQs relating to the Donation Station Program on pages 16 & 17 of the  Brisbane Basket Brigade Ultimate Guide

The Wrapping Materials Program

Our Wrapping Materials Program is brand new in 2021!  It involves corporates and/or groups collecting wrapping materials that will assist us in wrapping the mountain of gifts we will distribute with our baskets.  It includes everything from Christmas wrapping paper, gift labels and tags, ribbon and bows to sticky tape and glue.

You can find all the details and FAQs relating to The Wrapping Materials Program on pages 18 & 19 of the Brisbane Basket Brigade Ultimate Guide

There is no need to nominate targets for either of these programs.  Simply register below for either (or both) programs.

In your welcome email following registration you’ll be provided with a link to our RESOURCES LIBRARY that contains some useful tip sheets and template emails that you can use to launch and close your programs with your participants.

Delivery/Collection of your donations

There are 3 separate options for the delivery of your donations.  The options are as follows:
  1. Delivery by you on 30 November (Tuesday) between 10am and 4pm to Easts Leagues Club, Coorparoo
  2. Collection by a volunteer of BBB of your corporate/group donations.  Someone will contact you in late November to finalise arrangements. (See below)
